Can I import a script from Google Docs or Microsoft Word?

Yes. PrompterGo accepts .docx files (export from Google Docs via File → Download → Word), PDFs, RTF files and plain text. Rich formatting (bold, italic, underline, colors) is preserved when importing RTF files and displayed directly in the prompter.

How do I add stage directions without disrupting the voice tracking?

Write your cues in square brackets: [PAUSE], [WIDE SHOT], [LOOK AT CAMERA 2]. The voice tracker detects these automatically and skips over them — it won't wait for you to say them out loud. Your cues stay visible on screen to guide you, but they never interfere with the text progression.

Does the teleprompter text appear in the recorded video?

No. The text is a preview overlay visible only to you on screen. The recording captures the raw front-camera feed: your face and background, with no text burned in. You look naturally toward the lens, exactly like with a professional beam-splitter teleprompter.

Is PrompterGo compatible with a physical beam-splitter (mirror) teleprompter?

Yes. In the advanced settings, PrompterGo offers a horizontal mirror mode that flips the text for professional beam-splitter rigs. The text is reversed on screen so it reads correctly once reflected by the semi-transparent mirror placed in front of the lens.

What happens if I stutter, skip a section, or pick up mid-script?

PrompterGo continuously matches your voice against the script. If you hesitate or repeat a word, it waits without scrolling back. If you jump ahead, it resyncs automatically by searching for your last spoken words in a text window around your current position. If you fall behind, it waits for you to catch up. You can also tap the screen to manually reposition the cursor anywhere.
